In rebuilding my '79 280ZX I came accross a couple of products that I love.
The first, and most important one are the Bosh quick release fuel injector
connector. These things are awsome! The clip is designed so that pushing
on it releases the clip from the fuel injector or sensor that it is attached
to. Here are two pictures of the clips (click for full picture):
The part you push is best seen in the left picture - it goes
across the top of the clip. No more fumbling with those stupid little spring
clips!!!! What is the part number? Well, I don't know, all I remember was
they were actually a Volvo plug. Here is a picture of the slip that came
with each of the plugs.
If someone can tell me more about these clips, please let
me know and I will post the info. The other product that I love is also
in the picture. It is a paint called Steel Wheels made by Plasti-kote.
It gives a color which looks like steel (Duh)! Kinda dull but really nice.
It does not require primer, holds to aluminum well and resists oil. Here
